We are looking to engage a Category Manager with broad experience to develop and manage the Information Technology (Hardware & Software) and Contingent Labour portfolios, contract and supplier strategies that deliver sustained value and provide Caltex with a competitive advantage.


You’ll take us further by….

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to lead the development, implementation and performance management of enterprise wide category, contract and supplier strategies that safely harness the power of supply markets for competitive advantage.
  • Be a trusted commercial advisor driving value whilst meeting operational needs and supporting business partners to achieve their business objectives.
  • Applying organisation change management tools and techniques to influence business stakeholders to improve value and operational efficiency.
  • Advising on all aspects of category and supplier management, sourcing activity, including setting strategy, negotiation approaches, contract management and supplier relationship management.
  • Bringing a fresh pair of eyes to adopt new methods and processes to the portfolio, enhancing delivery outcomes.
  • Developing and preparing reporting as required.
  • Bringing your strong negotiation skills to successfully influence and engage a diverse group of stakeholders and communicate key information effectively.
  • Drawing upon your Tertiary Qualification and proven commercial management experience to sell the procurement vision.
